In one instance, we had a dual-monitor machine AND a spare
machine with monitor, right next to it. Juggling the two keyboards
was a bit trickier (mainly because the third monitor wasn't as easy to
move as a keyboard; I suspect we tended to swap seats more often than
in a single-machine setup), but it was really handy for the navigator
to be able to check the javadocs asynchronously and be ready with the
answer by the time the driver got to that point in the code. Caveat:
we didn't have any problem keeping the navigator from wandering off, I
don't know if others would.

On that particular job, the company founder had burned a lotta
cash on a bunch of spiffy leather executive chairs for the never-used
main conference room. The dev team hijacked them :-).
