Turning off "Unit xxx not referenced" warnings? - 5 new
----------------------------------
I have a file which with's a bunch of other files purely to force their
elaboration. As a result, I get a number of "Unit xxx not referenced" warnings.
Is there any way to get rid of them? There's a compiler switch which turns
the warning off, but I'd prefer to do it on a per-file basis. Is there not a
pragma or something for this? Thanks Jon ... - Fri, Oct 29 2004 2:51 am

decimal separator (international? - 17 new
----------------------------------
... While there's no doubt to use a comma as decimal separator, in Germany we
use a "topperiod" to separate large numbers in groups of three digits.
Unfortunately there's no possibility to use this on a computer because nothing
like this exists. So I use the ' "quotesingle" Chr39. I think a "topdot"
looks very nice as used in handwriting. The space between the digits is not
much bigger than without the dot, but you can easily recognize the number.
There is no chance to mix this dot with a multiply sign, because the... -

... This had already been tried with the effect that arithmetic operations

correctly, the 'use' clause did not work either). David Hoos mentioned that:

Thank you Matthew Heaney! - 2 new

Due to some company re-structuring I've been programming in C++ lately. On
complex calculations I still write small test programs in Ada first, then
translate working logic to C++. I have no question that it saves me time in
the long run. Recently I have been doing a bunch of geometric transformations.
Matthew Heaneys' implementation of Ada.Numerics_Generic_Real_Arrays made my
testing a snap. I just wanted to say thanks :-) Steve (The Duck) ... -
