The good part of the Slab life is:as you are approaching you see a couple large
pipes that are spray painted no trespassing and welcome army,that's the hot
spring about 100 feet off the road to your rightand the no trespass sign means
Welcome All..Then there is Salvation Mt.and Leonard the famous folk artist.
Next pas a fine nieghborhood,Poverty Flats on your left(nice subsets over the
Sea) and to the right,The Range has a stage and occasionally an interesting
musical experience.Or hang a right and go to Fred Rd and there is Fred in his
old school VeeDub and Me in my new('95) one.My nieghbors have been hanging
together for 20 years and are great for a campfire chat and the Lows are next
door and have a fire every night.Billy Bowden and Tugboat Willie are next to
the Oasis and sing the sweetest harmonies.There's the gas station for propane
and water.I dump at the park just south of town.And if you like pickin' up
trash:there's a lot of opportunity for nieghborhood improvement
s so we
can all stay busy and have some fun this winter.
