Army ready with J&K downsize plan  
Moving on Prime Minister Manmohan Singh�s announcement of troop reduction in 
Jammu and Kashmir, Army Headquarters is all set with modalities for pulling out 
nearly 9,000 troops from the state. Executive orders for downsizing troop 
presence are expected this week. Official sources indicated that two infantry 
formations, engaged in counter-insurgency operations, will be withdrawn from 
the state along with elements of engineers and artillery.

Kanchi murder gets  murkier, cops say same contract killers were used earlier 
too  
The police today interrogated top functionaries of the Kanchi Kamakoti Matt and 
their staff in connection with a murder case involving the Kanchi 
Shankaracharya Jayendra Saraswati. Those questioned include administrative head 
of the Matt, Matt manager, manager of the Kamakshi temple, the Matt�s official 
photographer, a typist, a clerk and a cashier employed by the Matt.
