It's not magic, but Cats thrive in November
Go ahead: Chalk up Arizona wins over San Diego tonight, against Tulsa or Wright
State in the second round of the Preseason NIT on Thursday, maybe Michigan in
the semifinals and perhaps second-ranked Wake Forest in the finals. Then add in
a potential non-NIT victory on Sunday at Virginia, a home victory Nov. 30
against Wyoming, and ... presto, the Wildcats will enter their Dec. 5 showdown
with Mississippi State as one of the top three teams in the country. Past
history suggests it could happen.

childhood, don't expect much sympathy from the kids. About 80 percent of middle
and high school students take part in organized activities after school and on
weekends, and most of these young people have something scheduled nearly every
day, a new study finds.

It's likely too late to halt rebates
A proposal that would eliminate tax incentives for shopping centers in Oro
Valley appears to be too late to keep four developers from gaining about $50
million in rebates. The four developments will likely share future sales tax
revenue with the town despite opposition from voters and a citizens group.
