If you go onto google maps (or look up Osterley Lock in CanalplanAC) you
can see something - not a black blob but what looks at first sight like
an area of lower satellite resolution than the rest.
But if you look closely, it looks more like it's been deliberately
blurred - the edges are fuzzy in a way that they aren't when you find a
boundary of high and low res imagery (the Upper Parting on the Severn is
a good place to look at this).
So protecting the Sultan's privacy sounds as good to me as anything
else.
