Don't take my comment too personally - the last line was intended as a 
little joke. I am sure that you and your crew are courteous and 
efficient and I understand where you are coming from - you can have no 
idea whether the crew of an approaching boat are going to be efficient 
or shambolic in their locking. I just felt that it was probably better 
not to draw attention to pulling off quickly in your trip report. You 
might give someone ideas! I have certainly experienced boats pulling out 
right in front (in one case just a few feet in front) and then bumbling 
along slowly, which, I'm sure you will agree, can be an irritation. I 
didn't really think it was you, Michael!
