I have a 3cyl Mitsubishi with a Lucus alternator...
Take a length of steel rod (1" dia) and drill it.
Cut off 2 pieces total length to fit the difference in mounts, one to be
about 8mm thick
The bolt then goes through...
front alt mount - 8mm packing - engine mount - longer packing - rear alt
mount.
(the 8mm or whatever it actually is, makes the pulleys line up)
Not done my me - like it when I got the boat. But was very useful when I
needed to get the alternator repaired (brushes wore out)
