Now if you 'locals' have all this trouble with pronunciation, can you imagine the problems I (with a French-Canadian background) have with places like Vale of Beaver (Belvoir) & Theydon Boys (Bois). And I was told that although Warwick was pronounced war-ick, Southwick was was pronounced south-wick.
