I had a variant on this issue when I upgraded my laptop to the new
Inspiron, only to discover that none of my cards now fitted as PCMCIA 2
is not backwards compatible. As a workaround I put my data SIM into a
mobile and connected via Bluetooth. This now gives me a good connection
but I have to put the phone in the cratch at some locations.
