Hi all
i've seen the bones of this thread but haven't read it all so
apologies up front if I confuse matters here, but you should know
exactly what's happening with BW's current HQ. So here are some
brief facts to chew over:
BW owns Willow Grange.
It's said it wants a smaller building to aid efficiency, something
BW is not alien to seeking in the first place, and something that
requires very urgent attention right now (see
www.saveourwaterways.org.uk if you haven't already).
It aimed to move to a purpose built HQ at Apsley (beside the
waterway!). Just last week the deal fell through, as often property
deals do. We therefore do not have anywhere currently to go.
But we will move, and the latest is selling Willow Grange to
residential developers by 12/08. This will significantly boost the
coffers of the overall pot and help in the current climate. Of
course, smaller premises with a smaller contingent also saves
ongoing costs.
