The canals topic made the 'You and Yours' programme on Radio 4 at about
12.15 today. The canals were introduced as being used by canoeists, walkers
and fishermen (odd that there are no boaters). Canoeists and fishermen were
interviewed and then Chris Coburn put strong points as a VP of the IWA. The
Waterways Minister then told us that talk of interest payments to farmers
and EU fines were all untrue and the cuts totally unrelated. Sorry didn't
pick up more whilst driving but it should be on the replay facility.
