Or perhaps great minds think alike. By the way, according to BW (Chief Exec's report at AGM, there were 300 million individual visits to waterways last year. If we`assume that the average is 10 visits per person, that suggests a very significant proportion of the British public paid at least one visit to BW waterways last year. And as there are only 29,000 registered boats that only 30,000 x 3 crew x 5 cruises less than 1 million of those were boat-related. Figures we could argue about, but the point is that they demonstrate that the Defra cuts will affect the recreation of a lot more people than boaters.
