I've used http://www.wbwip.com/wbw/emailencoder.html .

Quite how effective it is can perhaps be gauged from the fact that I get 
very little unsolicted mail at the addresses concerned. What does get 
through may come via other sources. I guess there may be ways for bots to 
decode the resulting gobbledegook but it seems to have worked for me so far.
