Mike I notice there's nothing about it yet in the Excise website, which says the tax loss through red diesel evasion in industry etc is £600m p.a. My guess is that anything gained on taxing boat fuel will be lost on reduced VAT etc. through lower boat-related purchases. After all, an extra £5 per plane ticket for a foreign holiday looks a cheap alternative! Sean
