Hmm. That wouldn't be my choice but everyone to their own.  When I came 
back to boating I hired Dorothy Constance from Kate boats in Warwick and 
went down to Stratford and back in a  week with a day to spare.  However 
I did boat (single-handed) for probably 10 hours a day. Diary of the 
trip on my website.   That would be my choice from Warwick.

I agree.  I didn't actually say down "to" Oxford but down "the" Oxford, 
Phil. I left unsaid the assumptin that they'd turn at half time possibly 
at Cropredy or Fenny if they did short days.

I suppose the advantage (if a lack of locks is considered an advantage) 
of Coventry is the lack of locks.
