There's no question about it, Graham. As someone who has moored
intermittently at Banbury for the last 20-odd years I can attest that it's
getting worse year on year. Queues are increasing not just at the two
flights, but in Banbury and further south too. The best mooring spots are
unpleasantly busy too in high season, Sommerton sometimes like a car park
and Oxford almost prohibitive at all times. But should we be surprised? The
Oxford's the second busiest canal after Llangollen, and we all know what
that's like.
