Someone made the point that the PM is unlikely to read any
of the emails sent to him.

I agree that 'he' may not read our emails but if we
all emailed (and we could do the same with our MPs [again])
the PM on a common theme, that theme would stand a chance of
being picked up by his minions who would inform him.

OK, so what is the common theme? The suggestion that every email 
make mention of the 300 million visitors is a good one and 
another might be the Waterways for Tomorrow document.

I've just re-read that document and it makes very interesting
reading http://tinyurl.com/yxoe5o and could provide dozens of
questions to ask our MPs to ask Defra. For example, what is the 
status of the recommendation made in para 4.18.
