Thanks for your help and advice. Hopefully we have narrowed the problem down to the generator, it appears to kick out somewhere between 268 and 274 voles. We put in a spare generator and (yet another) amplifier into service (thankfully Maplins are open on Sundays) and everything worked smoothly for three and a half hours this evening, so hopefully we have solved the problem (any offers for three Kn*****ed amplifiers)? We run two sleighs at Christmas so that we can visit all of our patch in the two weeks before Christmas. As luck would not have it the generator on our other sleigh curled its toes up completely as well last night (so we lost two sleigh nights on the same day). We have had to replace that generator as well, but tonight we were back to two functioning Santas and sleighs. Regards ........................... Arthur Naylor
