Hi All,

This morning we continued down to the turning point at Tamhorn Farm Bridge
and then headed back to KB. It's sunny, showery and cold. The fires stayed
in overnight, even the small Premier, so we were nice and toasty inside.
It's surprising how much heat that little stove gives out. With the back
doors shut it was quite warm. All electrical systems OK. Meter reading this
morning was 73%, which is pretty good considering we used so much last night
and the Mikuni this morning. Not much traffic about. Slight argument with
Cheadles bridge, I wasn't steering, which the bridge won but no real damage
just a scratch or two to the chimney's. At Fradley we turned left and with
no other boats around went straight into the lock. Wendy had forgotten I had
no rear fender and opened the paddle a touch quickly, resulting in much
forward and reverse to stop hitting the gates. For the next lock we swapped
tasks and the rise was more gentle. Woodend lock proudly displayed a BW
notice, 'don't waste water'. Not sure what this meant. Plenty of water in
the cut and there is a bywash anyway? Back to KB and the wind had dropped
and getting into the mooring was easy. Home now and back to work tomorrow.

Good trip, thanks to all who contributed.

Regards

Andrew & Wendy from The Cut
