Depends, if you have a bottle regulator with a low pressure gas line then you could well pull it off. If however you have a full pressure pigtail going to a regulator mounted remotely (often the case with a changeover valve for example) then I doubt it, I have seen a full 47Kg cylinder suspended by one of those (an experience which I would not like to have again - down to a hiab driver rushing a job and not checking what he was doing).
