Martin has a very good point. We are colonials who spend six months a year
(spring and autumn) on our narrowboat. Initially we tried internet access
from the boat, but found it unworkable for us (too slow and too expensive).
Now
we just use libraries along the way. Before you leave home, check the towns
and villages along your proposed route and use the internet to get
information on where the libraries are and hours and days of operation. You
will be
welcomed and can usually get an hour of free access each day. The only
exception was last autumn in London where the Westminster libraries had changed
their
policy to no longer provide free access for visitors. So we became members,
which took about 5 minutes!

Enjoy your cruise and be careful, you might just get hooked.
