No that is not right. Because although the Essington branch, at 533 ft above sea level, is indeed higher than any other part of the Black Country canals it closed in 1830, before the Wyrley and Essington Canal Company merged with the Birmingham Canal Navigations Company and thus it was never actually part of the BCN!
