It is not my interpreation of facts. They are the facts as have been told to me and anyone else who cares to ask BW. 'll leave the list to try and understand why you have decided to take Defra's line of argument rather than that of BW. > > Be that as it may, my major concern here, if what you say is correct, is > that you seem to have been made party to a professional conversation I had > with a contact. When you challenged me, I emailed BW back to check my facts. They were confirmed. No please explain to me how that means I have been party to a conversation you had? Are you possibly implying that I have no right to check my facts from, perhaps, the same source that you have used. Rubbish. > On your other point, no, I did not make, nor am I intending to make, any > select committee representations regarding my views on BW funding. What limited time I have available is spent making representations about an issue that is equally important but, I suggest, as it has rather more immediacy it would be comforting to think that you were working with us rather than taking up Defra's spin. > This is so that the next time something like the DEFRA cuts happen, there > will be a leaner, fitter democratic membership-based organisation ready to > fight for the rights of waterways users in a way consistent with its long > radical tradition. > A noble aim. I sincerely wish you the best in your campaign. Cheers Will -- Will Chapman Save Our Waterways www.SaveOurWaterways.org.uk
