I absolutely love that building! The 'hole' as you describe it (for those not familiar) is more of a 'chunk' or 'section' of the building cut out to eighth floor level, and supported by what is strictly speaking a column, but one which looks preposerously delicate for the weight it supports. The inset, BTW, is mirror glass which gives some extraordinary reflections at different times of day. http://www.emporis.com/en/il/im/?id=290153 I am a great lover of Brough, once the only ward of the City of London to be outside of the city walls. I am a regular at Borough Market, the cathederal is a lost gem of London and Tate Modern a real testimony to the fact we can really do art in this country. I live a couple of stops away at Blackheath Steve [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
