Any idea what has happened to those living in it. (I have only chatted to the 
lady recently so not sure if she was alone.) I always liked the supply vessel 
and mooring nearby often heard the (distant) cottage generator as darkness 
fell. As for the lock - a Brindley thrower - sounds of screaming engines in 
reverse as boats came up in it...
