Has this boat STILL not been found? How is it possible that it was reported at Foxton so recently, and yet still hasn't been located? Surely one bloke on a bike could find it in a day? The hirer seems to have had something of a Reginald Perrin moment; though if he's already single-handed from Middlewich to Leicestershire, I wouldn't be too worried about his safety since he clearly knows how to handle the boat. Neither do I give much credence to the idea that he's dead in a tunnel somewhere. That might have happened 30 years ago when bats still roosted in Saddington. Nowadays, I guess there must be a boat through in one direction or the other every half an hour. It becomes more intriguing by the day. I'm beginning to think it's a publicity stunt by Middlewich :)
