I got the black info off a message to another group sent by the owners - who
found her, Maybe the front end is black? What I would like to know is what
happened to the gent who was (reported as) still painting when the boat was
found and if the police have turned up at all.
I understand more info may come out next week (!) In a way its a bit like
those Films were you see the whole thing and then there is no real ending just
even more questions.

Doesn't look like it was being painted black then as per David's
earlier post. It seems to me that he was adding red panels and other
finishing touches. Wonder where he dumped the cratch and top plank?
I hope that he's charged all the costs of restoration, all the lost
revenue etc etc..........but he'll probably get a slapped wrist and
Middlewich will bear all the costs, inconvenience and loss of customer
confidence.
