It must cost thousands in wages, office expenses and legal costs to 
recover 500-600 pounds a boat.

I like the idea that it is not economic. Perhaps we can all get the 
same perks as the walkers, cyclists etc and use the canals for free 
as part of our taxes.

If rules/laws are not poloiced they fall into disrepute so less and 
less people obay them - look at motoring wheer if its not easy to get 
on camera authoraties do mot seen to care.


As far as Eugine's points about something happening that could eb 
aqddressed in the same way as parking tickets are issued - sticky 
packets on windows etc.

We should not keep knocking BW, but I find itsn theri moorings that 
tend to support apparently unlicensed bots. Why do they not simply 
give them notice to quit?
