I'm here Mike, lurking about but not saying much, just having a little chuckle to everybodys problems. I wish I was twenty years younger I could be a millionair. I hope you got to Paddington OK, double up your mooring lines I am coming down there with Clitheroe with 60 tons of sand. ----- Original Message ----- From: Mike Stevens To: [email protected] Sent: Tuesday, April 24, 2007 12:28 PM Subject: Re: [canals-list] Electrolux fridge - help wanted

That's a common fault that we suffered from on FC2, and one reason why we've not got a gas fridge on FC3. > I can get it hooked up to the 12 volt supply, but that might be a bit > hard on the domestic batteries - will it? won't it? From what I hear, the Electrolux fridges absolutely gobble voles on 12v. > The original installation has a vent to the outside but is not totally > room-sealed, and as I understand the Boat Safety rules, I would not be > allowed to replace the present one with a similar one (even if I > could get one) - it would have to be a room-sealed one? I'm not sure what the state of play on that point is with the BSS. It may ir may not now be advisory rather than mandatory. Somebody here will know. The chap who used to service our fridge on FC2 was Roger Alsop. Do you know him? I can't remember whether he's on this list or not - he's either here or on uk.rec.waterways (or both). He'll be at Cavalcade. But I know he's run off his feet at the moment in his day job. Mike Stevens narrowboat Felis Catus III web-site www.mike-stevens.co.uk Defend the waterways.
