Oh well, Si and I haven't missed anything then. Only just picked up this thread and it's well past bed time. The Anglers Retreat at Marsworth in my opinion do superior beer and food than the White Lion. I've had very varied and not very complimentary reports of the WL recently so would be interested to see how you fared in the hope that things are looking up. Would like to know how the Red Lion is doing too since the new management lot took over last Autumn. We've not been there for a while. Hope you all had an enjoyable mini-gig. Give us a wave if we're around as you chug past on your way down south. Watch out the the barge and a working pair moored near us, the formed just around the corner from the water point and the latter very close to the big Willow tree that hangs over half the cut.
