There is already a relevant association: the Yachting Journalists' Association (www.yja.co.uk). Its aim is "to promote greater awareness of a wide range of leisure boating activities through the professional services offered by its members", which sounds spot on, and it has 250 members. I'm not sure what the yachties' reaction would be to a sudden influx of beardy waterway journalists though... Richard (no beard)
