That's right and as a passing visitor you can't moor at North Cropredy 
because the sign says "Permit holders only" and the length of very faded 
orange (its been there a long time) is less than a boats length. While 
down below the lock passing boaters are saying "look at all those boats on 
the short term moorings, they were there when I passed a month ago, why 
doesn't BW move them on so I can moor and go to the Red Lion" Then they go 
home and like me, write to BW and get told its because the long term 
moorings at North Cropredy are dangerous.
