Why should I think a contract phone was unlocked? A friend blocked an orange phone many years ago by trying a vodafone sim card in it. It had to be sent back to orange for unblocking. Our other phone, a nokia, took 4 weeks to unlock, not the 48hrs I was repeatedly told. That phone was locked. Many thanks for all the help I have received from members of this list. Naming no names.
