It's about the one valid use for the lightweight collapsible boathooks 
offered at (I think) £6.99 by Lidl from time to time.  I am 6ft plus and 
can step across from gate to gate (note - NOT jump) but Connie can't and 
the ali boathook saves a lot of walkingand delay.
