I have had a failure of batteries, not holding charge. The batteries are
Elecsol 110 Ampere Hour and are fractionally under 4 years old. The Warranty
is 5 years.
I have contacted Elecsol and they are replacing the 5 batteries but are
charging me about 3/5 of new price.
But are not charging delivery or any other costs. Replacement batteries
delivered within one day of claim.

The batteries dropped from 12.9v to 12.3 within an hour with little or no
load on them. Open circuit voltage did the same and almost all cells were
about 1210 with a hydrometer. One battery did better, only dropped to 12.5
and cells at 1250.

Also what experience do others have of sealed batteries for leisure use, I
was always of the opinion that wet cells were better for deep cycle use.

Has anyone had a similar experience of being levied a charge when claiming
Warranty??
