If I had planned a trip on the Soar and Trent I would be thinking VERY
seriously about going somewhere else even in Parglena.

Rain seems to be forecast from Thursday onwards north of Watford
That means that by the time you get there the Soar and Trent could well be
unnavigable.

Time to check river levels is before you get to Norton Junction and detour
elsewhere if bad.

Will should be able to advise on the state of the Trent at Alrewas and Chris
Deuchar will know what Trent lock is like.

If you do decide to go ahead then a decent anchor and lifejackets are the
order of the day.
