The following stoppage has been announced: Shropshire Union Canal Craft wedged in lock chamber Date: 29/06/2007 until further notice Description: An enforced stoppage has been placed on the Shropshire Union Canal Middlewich Branch, as the result of a pleasure craft becoming wedged in the lock chamber at Cholmondeston Lock. British Waterways teams are dealing with the incident at the present time. Further updates will be posted as the works to free the craft continue. Winding holes are at Bridge 4 and Bridge 6. British Waterways apologises for any inconvenience caused.
