Hi All,

Tuesday 19th June - Arrived at Stourport. Day already reported

Wednesday 20th - Day already reported.

Thursday 21st June - I Left early to attend a meeting in Birmingham. Jessops
(the company I work for) announce 81 (25%) store closures and 550 staff made
redundant. Bad day for the staff, share price went up. Wendy stayed with LT.

Friday 22nd June - I Went to work in Evesham, a drive of about 50 minutes.
Wendy stayed with LT

Saturday 23rd June - Window of opportunity, the river was open down to
Gloucester. Unfortunately we had made other plans by this time. Returned
home for the night. Nb Pilgrim, Nb Laura, Nb Margarita plus Ken and Carol
the Brass Mate people, sorry can't remember the name of the boat, arrive at
Stourport and keep an eye on LT. Thanks Guys. I Went to work. Wendy went
home and arranged annual family get together/picnic in Sutton, Surrey on
Sunday

Sunday 24th June - Family Party. On return journey it was decided that the
river would be OK for Monday and after phone calls to others at Stourport
decide on the way back to Evesham, to go for it Monday am.

Monday 25th June - Up at 5am! Brian my son ran me to Stourport ready for the
proposed leave time of 7.30 with the others. During the night the river has
come up, it's closed, we ain't going anywhere, again! Saul Festival
cancellation announced. Brilliant curry night at the one and only RR event
that was able to take place. Thanks to all who attended and especially
Staffy and Mrs Staffy for all the organisational hard work. Thanks also for
the use of your drive. Has made the car shuffle thing much easier. Nb's
Virgo, Nuggler and Arun arrive.

Tuesday 26th - Sunday July 1st - LT has remained in Stourport. Wendy and I
have been variously staying in Evesham and or on LT. I have returned to
work. Wendy has been polishing, painting and providing general maintenance
duties, such as engine running. I have to say the BW staff, who have turned
blind eyes to overstaying mooring times, and the BW facilities in Stourport
are excellent. The town itself has every amenity. We could be stuck in much
worse places. The river has remained high and closed with heavy rain in much
of the country and many, many places flooded. Today started with fine sunny
weather. It's electric supply installation day on our mooring in Evesham. As
I write this there are 9 men digging up the road, diggers and lorries and
road diversion signs all over the place. Noon, it is raining hard and half
the road still has a big hole in it ready for the cable. They can't stop
now! As soon as the work is finished I shall return to LT. Day off tomorrow,
my birthday.

I think that's about it. If I have forgotten anyone/anything, please fill in
the details. There have been lots of coming and goings during the week,
including boat shuffling and mooring reservation, while boats watered and
dunny dumped in turn. I took LT down to the facilities one night and backed
into the lock and back to the mooring, for the return trip. That's a first.
We still plan to be in Stourport for another week or so. The river is
dropping today but I have to be at work next week and don't have 2 days
spare together, so even if it is open, I don't have time. Unless some kind
soul would like to crew for Wendy?

Regards

Andrew & Wendy from The Cut - Well sort of!
