A few years ago we left Worcester and headed up the W&B canal. Then the
rain started...

It rained so hard that my lightweight rainproof hat was useless but it was
much too hot for a winter (Korean fur lined) really waterproof one. So I stuck
a dishcloth (used to wipe the hatch) on my head. As rain wear this has the
advantage that you can wring it out when it gets wet and the holes let air in
to keep your head cool.
