It's on its way back as Planning Gain Supplement - a tax announced in the small print of the last budget for implementation in the next couple of years. The intention is to levy a tax on the up-lift in value of land as a result of planning approvals and to direct that income to local infrastructure projects. -- Andy Greener n.b.
