If I may be so bold as to relate what I have heard. They are back at
home, a foot of water having been through the house. Water receding.
Long process anticipated getting repairs done, possible temporary
caravan to live in on the drive. (inappropriate quip - with a suitable
grappling iron they might snatch one passing down the river)

Andrew has been on LT overnight and restored a number of mooring lines.
Nothing but superficial damage apparently. Now working out strategy for
landing the boat back in the place where the river normally is. New
mooring arrangements for LT and elec supply worse for wear.

A & W shocked and weary but resolute. Andrew telephoned this morning to
determine Uncle Mort's whereabouts. Despite extreme difficulties in
Gloucester area I hear the canal has been up and down a foot or so as
they use it to protect the city as far as possible. G&S water quality
not too special but that may shift those fresh water molluscs from the
prop and rudder.

Beeky

PS - the fresh water molluscs on the stern gear referenced above have,
I believe, cured the cavitation noises/vibrations which were annoying
at certain prop revs.
