Tuesday
At Hungerford we waited for today's crew. We still had Chris and Nick's
parents, with dog Sally, arrived after playing cars. Today was a leisurely trip
with a stop for lunch el fresco including white wine. Chris declared this
civilised. We then continued to Gt. Bedwyn the locks turned up increasingly
regularly but with 5 of us they were soon polished off. We just managed to
squeeze in at Gt. Bedwyn by mooring the little boat by the bank and us
alongside.
We met up with the owners and all had a very good meal at The Cross Keys.
The next morning we left and turned back home with mixed feelings. I enjoyed
myself and would do it all again, Roger on the otherhand says if I suggest
doing this again I will do it by myself.
Ben is shattered, Sally was the last straw. She is a Jack Russell/Beagle full
of energy. She keeps her back end exercised by wagging her tail incessantly but
she wags from her waist so the whole rear end gets a work out.
This is the last trip report.
