Changed the engine and box in Parglena since I have had her.
Gearbox because I wanted a 2:1 reduction not 3:1 bought a gearbox of
http:\\www.findafishingboat.com cost me £190 plus my gearbox in exchange
so far 4 years its been fine.
Changed engine this year was using a litre of oil every two days very
smoky.
Again went to http:\\www.findafishingboat.com and sourced an almost
identical engine built in 1980 6 years older then the previous one but
with only 1500hours on it. Cost £1700 in fact fitting which took a week
was more then the cost of the engine..........
I now have a barge that doesn't smoke.
