I was to meet Mike for the first, and sadly, the last time at the Sept
Macclesfield canal Sct meeting where he spoke on the Bow Back rivers.His
knowledge was encyclopedic,his pictures and presentation were first class.Had
he continued with his planned journey down Marple locks to Manchester I was to
accompany them on that leg.In the event Wendy was not well and he decided to
turn round and go through the shorter way to their next planned destination.The
movement has lost a great campaigner enthusiast, raconteur, and friend and our
thoughts and prayers are now with Wendy. CKP
