Sean In my opinion the law (and civilisation as such) is not enforced so much by authority as by peer pressure and peer standards Roger The problem with peer pressure it depends on who the peer group is! For example, given that the enforcement officer is only likely to check the towpath side, if you can swap your licence from side to side, the two copies of one disc can suffice for two boats (especially if they have painted-on numbers and your peer's is called Kingfisher too!)
