I seem to have come a bit late to this discussion, having been out this 
afternoon, but as others have already said, I hope you take no notice and 
keep on posting here. I think your trip reports fit PRECISELY into the 
mainstream aims of this list. I do not read uk.rec.waterways so if you 
posted your delightful reports only on that, I would miss out on them. If 
your posts were inappropriate, one of the moderators would have mentioned it 
already and I notice that Bob has expressed surprise at the comment. The 
person who asked you to desist is obviously in a minority of one. 
Considering how far off topic some of the threads go without any comment, to 
complain about your trip reports seems just silly.
