I have dumped IE7 from my two laptops.
My "new" junked/repaired laptop, (only 15 months old) also came with Office 
2007....I have dumped that as well as it does those silly new .docx 
documents that won't open on older versions of Office, without downloading a 
huge patch.
I guess old age is setting in...or maybe the fact that this incarnation of 
Win XP Pro and Office 2000 has worked perfectly ...for many years.
