The other year the EA were electro stunning fish on the Thames near Kings Lock
when we passed. Meanwhile, round on the Oxford someone (?) had lobster pot(s)
made of Sainsbuy's baskets with a tube entrance and a cover over the top which
seemed to be in use to catch crayfish. (We found this pot when we noticed the
boat was slow and found a long length of line wrapped round the propshaft.
Pulling in the rest of the line we found the pot with 6 crayfish. We passed
this lot on to the EA.)

Yes, I was pretty certain it was on NBW too, but I searched the
archives and couldn't find it so ended up searching other places as
well. I remember the picture and article but just can't find it. As the
link referred to the electro-fishing boat being close to Hawkesbury
Junction on the Coventry I didn't think that it stretched imagination
too much to think that it might also be doing the N. Oxford.
I've eaten zander in France and it was a very acceptable taste and
texture, IMO.
