This was late in the evening, so nobody was about - in fact I got a
lot of wierd looks from the boats moored at the top of the locks! I'm
not sure how I would do it during busier periods, maybe in smaller
sections, and if you see someone coming up you can get them to leave
the gates open (if you're going down!).
